Fabio Barone, the Roman-born driver and president of the Ferrari Passione Rossa club, has chosen the Tianmen Mountain Road in China (located in the heart of the National Tianmen Mountain Park in Zhangjiajie, in north-western Hunan province), in order to attempt setting the world speed record. The challenge of the Tianmen Mountain Road, defined as \u201cthe most dangerous road in the world\u201d, was presented a few days ago in the pavilions of Fiera Roma during the Supercar Show displaying unconventional cars.<\/p>\n
Barone, with his Ferrari 458 Italia prepared by Capristo and by Leone Motors, and his team, will try to win for the first time ever the World Speed Record on the road\u2019s 99 hairpin turns. Barone and his team will officially represent Italy in what is expected to be a full-fledged feat in China. The initiative is sponsored by the Italian Consulate General in Canton.<\/p>\n
