The initiative was organised in partnership with International Voluntary Welfare Group-IVWG, a Sudanese volunteer association which has been active in helping the neediest segments of population since 1965. The event kicked off with a charity dinner at Casa d\u2019Italia, the residence of Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Lobasso, at which the more than 300 guests were asked to bring a toy to give to poor Sudanese children. When delivering the first toys at the Dat Altaebat Penitentiary, in the suburbs of Omdurman, just outside Khartoum, Ambassador Lobasso said: \u201cIt gives me endless joy to give a child a smile.
