It\u00a0 will\u00a0feature\u00a0documentaries\u00a0introducing the stories of\u00a0six great Italians who have added to the prestige Italy has in the world. “Grand’Italia” (“Great Italy”) is a set of\u00a0meetings organized by the IIC in Tokyo in partnership with Clipper Media. “One year later,” the Italian Institute of Culture pointed out, “the second edition of “Grand’Italia” is about to begin .”Franco Marcoaldi will interview some prominent Italian personalities from a variety of fields such as music, cinema, dance, photography, sports and science. Each portrait is made richer\u00a0by contributions friends and co-workers provided”.<\/p>\n
“Grand’Italia” talks about\u00a0excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n Marcoaldi will introduce each documentary and take questions from the public.\u00a0His documentaries, directed by\u00a0Simone Aleandri,\u00a0go beyond the format of traditional interviews to\u00a0narrate the protagonists’ true stories,\u00a0passions, talents and idiosyncrasies\u00a0against backdrops\u00a0that are iconic\u00a0for them.\u00a0Oscars Prize Winners Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty) and Nicola Giovani (Life is Beautiful) will be screened first, followed by\u00a0 photographer Mario Dondero and international ballet dancer Alessandra Ferri. The documentaries\u00a0portraying\u00a0Giovanni Soldini,\u00a0Italy’s most revered sailor and Carlo Rovelli, a\u00a0theoretical physicist, will close the\u00a0programme.\u00a0Each interviewee has a “testimonial” by his\/her side, either a friend, a collaborator or a kin member, who shows him\/her from a different perspective, revealing more about the protagonist’s life and personality.
