The\u00a06th edition\u00a0 of the Italian Language Olympics\u00a0is over and the winners proclaimed. The 2016 Olympics\u00a0included participants also from Italian seetions and Italian schools abroad. Julia Victoria Rodriguez Suarez and Kristi Nika, from Italian public schools in Madrid and Athens respectively, won the gold medal for the junior and senior categories of the international group. Livia Marella, from the ‘Roma’ Italian school in Algiers and Piero Alberti from the European school in Frankfurt, also participated in the competition. The prizes\u00a0consisted of\u00a0three stays abroad offered by Italy’s\u00a0Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Italian Language and Creativity – Brands and Customs, Fashion and Design”<\/strong><\/p>\n The bilingual section of the Italian-Slovak Saru High School in\u00a0Bratislava, the Italian-Czeck section of the Ustavni High School in\u00a0Prague and the Italian State school in Madrid, in collaboration with\u00a0the local Italian diplomatic and consular offices and the Italian Institutes of Culture, will\u00a0play host to the winners of the competition in October. The stays will take place during the 16th Week of Italian Language in the world, whose\u00a0theme will be\u00a0\u00a0“Italian Language and Creativity: Brands and Customs, Fashion and Design”. The Italian Language Olympics\u00a0 are promoted by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Accademia della Crusca and the \u201cAssociazione per la Storia della Lingua Italia\u201d, under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic.
