Italy&#8217;s increasingly notable participation\u00a0was jointly organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the National Association of Construction Companies (ANCE).\u00a0\u00a0The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation&#8217;s long-standing\u00a0collaboration with ANCE has contributed to establishing a comprehensive network to support and promote\u00a0Italy&#8217;s construction industry, with the involvement the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the ICE, the Italian export credit agency (SACE), SIMEST, and the banking sector, in liaison with Confindustria and with full support at the highest institutional levels. Italian construction\u00a0companies are\u00a0active in 85 countries across five continents and rely on their great dynamism and remarkable results to\u00a0stay at the forefront of an ever more competitive sector, both in terms of large infrastructure and real estate.<br \/>Italian Minister of Defence Roberta Pinotti and the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, attended the MIPIM event on Sunday, where international investors showed a rapidly mounting interest towards the Italian real estate industry. A result which further emphasised the effectiveness of\u00a0a systemic approach towards supporting Italy&#8217;s property sector\u00a0which began five years ago and has grown steadily since.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New markets<br \/><\/strong><br \/>Italy&#8217;s real estate industry &#8211; which embodies excellency and technological innovation, especially in terms of environmental sustainability &#8211; is one of the major components in the action undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u00a0to promote Italian industry as a whole, with special attention to new markets, such as Iran and, prospectively, Cuba.<br \/>The construction of Iran&#8217;s &#8220;New Towns&#8221;, which will relieve congestion in Iranian cities afflicted by traffic and unsustainable pollution levels, can represent an important opportunity for Italian companies in the real estate sector.<br \/>In parallel, the Cuban market&#8217;s opening towards real estate development &#8211; spurred by prospects of a sizable increase in tourism, especially from North America &#8211; will be the focus of intense action that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will commit to\u00a0in the upcoming months together with the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE, ANCE, and the Employers&#8217; Association of Confindustria (OICE) to support Italian businesses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Italy had a strong representation at the\u00a02016 edition of the MIPIM, the leading worldwide property event\u00a0of the year\u00a0that ended in Cannes today.
