Enrolments increased in the 2014\/2015 academic year, and so far seven Italian schools abroad have joined the international network. The UNESCO schools include: state schools in Addis Ababa, Asmara and Barcelona and recognised private schools: \u201cScuola Italiana Roma\u201d in Algiers, \u201cEnrico Mattei\u201d in Casablanca, \u201cItalo Svevo\u201d in Cologne and \u201cArturo Dell\u2019Oro\u201d in Valpara\u00edso and Vi\u00f1a del Mar. The network was created in Paris in 1953 with the main aim of strengthening the commitment of new generations to promote the values that inspired the United Nations.
