The organizers emphasized that &#8220;Europe was born from the fall of a wall, and it is now building new walls. Not only is a wall insufficient to keep others out, but it also signifies a refusal to open up to new and different realities. And since Europe has heralded &#8216;universality&#8217; as one of its fundamental values, raising barriers undermines its deep-rooted identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cL&#8217;Europe et l&#8217;Autre&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is one of four events organised by the Italian Institute of Culture with Bozar, the Fine Arts Center that hosts these lectures.
