Tomorrow\u2019s second meeting of the cycle of lectures “L’Europa e l’Altro” (L’Europe et l’Autre) will focus on ‘The walls of the new Europe’.\u00a0 Henry Laurens from the College de France, Michel Foucher from the College d’Eudes Mondiales will hold the debate and Luigi Mascilli Migliorini, from the University of Naples \u201cL\u2019Orientale\u201d, will moderate it. The organizers emphasized that “Europe was born from the fall of a wall, and it is now building new walls. Not only is a wall insufficient to keep others out, but it also signifies a refusal to open up to new and different realities. And since Europe has heralded ‘universality’ as one of its fundamental values, raising barriers undermines its deep-rooted identity.”<\/p>\n

The meeting is one of four events organised by the Italian Institute of Culture with Bozar, the Fine Arts Center that hosts these lectures.
