Conducted by Maestro Myung-Whun Chung, the musicians will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\u2019s Symphony No. 40 in G minor, KV 550, and Gustav Mahler\u2019s 5<sup>th<\/sup> Symphony. The concert is organised by the Nachtigallartists Agency in partnership with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Prague and UniCredit Bank.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The orchestra was founded by Claudio Abbado in 1982 with the aim of enhancing the symphonic repertoire of the Teatro alla Scala of Milan, in line with the theatre\u2019s opera tradition, and was established as an independent association in 1983. In the past few decades the Philharmonic orchestra has been Italy\u2019s musical association that was best known abroad, having engaged the world\u2019s most important conductors, including Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Daniel Barenboim, Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano and Giuseppe Sinopoli.
