In the heart of Beyoglu, at just a few steps from the Galata tower, the Pera Museum will present an exhibition of the master of the metaphysical art movement from tomorrow February 24 to May 1 &#8211; the first ever in Turkey. Organized by the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation and the Pera Museum, with the contribution of the Italian Consulate and the Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul, the Giorgio de Chirico exhibition \u201cThe Enigma of the World\u201d comprises a broad collection of \u00a0the artist\u2019s works, including a total of 70 paintings, two lithography series and 10 sculptures, selected by curator Fabio Benzi from the University of Chieti. The exhibition showcases works De Chirico produced from the 20s to the mid-70s, but it also includes one of the artist\u2019s earlier works dating back to 1909 when he was only 21 years old. &#8220;This exhibition is a tribute to the relationship de Chirico had with Istanbul and to the nature of his art which was deeply linked to the Mediterranean,\u201d Consul General Federica Ferrari Bravo told ANSAmed. This is all the more true as De Chirico\u2019s father, Evaristo, was born in Istanbul.
