Zagreb’s Museum of Arts and Crafts will host the exhibition “Moving Eye. Italian Kinetic Art from the ’50s to the ’70s\u201d until Feb. 14. The exhibition, curated by Micol Di Veroli, was organised by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb as part of a programme aimed at promoting contemporary Italian art abroad. \u201cMoving eye\u201d consists of a collection of the artwork of key representatives of the movement, including Bruno Munari, Getulio Alviani, Antonio Barrese, Mario Ballocco, Enzo Mari and Grazia Varisco. They all played a key role in the \u2018The Ultimate Vanguard\u2019, as the International Kinetic Art Movement was called. The artistic research work of artists from different geographical regions all flowed into it.<\/p>\n
Italian Kinetic Art from the ’50s to the ’70s<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0Zagreb was one of Kinetic Art’s most representative centres with the New Tendency Movement, which represents one of the highlights of Croatia’s recent art history. Therefore it is no coincidence that the exhibition is hosted in the same museum that displayed the last New Tendency show.
