After completing a doctorate in aeronautics and astronautics at MIT in Boston, in 2012 thirty-year-old Romanian born Alessandro Golkar moved to Moscow to become associate director of the space centre of Skoltech University.<\/p>\n

With his very impressive \u201cspace\u201d CV (50 publications, two technology start-ups and numerous international citations), Alessandro doesn\u2019t like to think of himself as part of the \u201cbrain drain\u201d phenomenon, but as a citizen of the world: \u201cTravel is normal, the future of research is international and is never limited to one country alone\u201d. In Moscow, the young engineer has also found \u201ca stunning cultural richness and a great admiration for Italy and Italians: they welcome us with open arms\u201d.<\/p>\n
