The presentation was made at the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin, and followed the writer-musician-actor-songwriter\u2019s Berlin performance of \u201cQu\u00b4ART de Si\u00e8cle\u201d.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The artist was born in Germany of Italian parents from the Campania region. His poetry owes much to 20th century experimentation, which echoes throughout visionary works that are always marked by a personal style that reaches across disciplines and registers.<\/p>\n<p>After starting out in music \u2013 wining the prestigious Targa Tenco award no less than four times \u2013 Capossela began to try his hand at writing, coming out with his first, surreal novel, \u201cNon si muore tutte le mattine\u201d, in 2004. \u201cIl paese dei Coppoloni\u201d, set in a pastoral and mythological and somewhat magical Irpinia, is a journey thorough the sounds, places and characters that restore a voice and\u00a0 dignity to the language of oral tradition with the style and strength of the author himself. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As part of the 15th Italian Language in the World Week, whose theme was \u201cThe Italian of Music, the Music of Italian\u201d, Vinicio Capossela presented his latest book, \u201cIl paese dei Coppoloni\u201d, finalist for the 2015 Strega Award.
