Anything about Italy immediately draws attention\u201d, says Massimo D\u2019Angelo, born in Ascoli Piceno 23 years ago and living in Turkey since 2013. He teaches English in a Turkish elementary school (\u201cmy students are from 2 to 11 years old\u201d) Massimo speaks to \u201cPostcard from the other Italy\u201d, a web series created by 9colonne with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation\u2019s Directorate General for Italians in the World and Migration Policies.<\/p>\n
Italian secondary schools promote cultural activities<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me Istanbul is a second home, a very lively city that never sleeps\u201d, the young teacher explains, underscoring that in the city on the Bosphorus \u201cthere are lots of Italian secondary schools that promote cultural activities and Casa Italia\u201d. Finally, he says his hopes are for a future in which bureaucracy is less invasive: \u201cI hope to be able to come and go with no more need of a visa\u201d.<\/p>\n
