The event was a premier for Africa, and the first phase in a project created by the Italian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the &#8216;Aissa Messaoudi&#8217; Cultural Centre for the execution of the entire 32-sonata cycle. At the age of 22 the pianist was the youngest ever to perform the complete cycle (in Montreal, 2002) after the performance of Daniel Barenboim.
