We wish to extend our support most of all to the latter, our artists\u201d. This is what the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sereni, said today at the presentation of the 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of Contemporary Art Day to the press. The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (Mibact) and the Foreign Ministry take part in this initiative, promoted by the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums (Amaci), by making their network of diplomatic and consular representations abroad available, along with the Italian Cultural Institutes, for promoting the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe support we ensure for this project,\u201d added Vice Minister Sereni, \u201cbears witness to the Government\u2019s and the Foreign Ministry\u2019s interest in the world of contemporary art and promotion of the same. Culture does not stop, talent and creativity are alive and vital, and are necessary for promoting the image of our Country on the move, with its tradition and experimentation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContemporary Art Day,\u201d continued the Vice Minister, \u201cis also a model of virtuous cooperation between institutions. We have a common goal: to enhance contemporary Italian art. The pandemic forced us to look at our models for enjoying culture again, but it did not obstruct us in running our project. On the contrary, in part thanks to the extraordinary financing provided by the Government, MAECI\u2019s foreign network was able to respond to our call to take part in the initiative, by planning digital virtual round table discussions, webinars, and conferences that could be attended remotely, which also involved directors of the Amaci network and artists\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally,\u201d went on Vice Minister Sereni, \u201cwe will come out of this stronger. We will get back to normal and to enjoying art in the ways that best suit it, even if the commitment to new technologies is destined to remain, working side-by-side with traditional forms of exploitation. This will allow us to extend the range of recipients, and therefore the diffusion of art.
