The exhibition will open until 18 September at the Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1934 at Monte Urano, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, the painter soon moved to Rome where he concentrated on experimenting with new materials and research in abstract art. Here he developed the themes of \u201cstripes\u201d and \u201ccrates\u201d.\u00a0 Since 1960, he has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, holding the chair of painting from 1973. He then investigated the female nude in a series of drawings and paintings whose monochromatism led to them being called \u201cwhite nudes\u201d. The themes of the nude and female portraiture are still a constant in Sandro Trotti&#8217;s art research.
