A dozen Italian artists and illustrators have created a tribute to Dante Alighieri. These works are the subject of an exhibition entitled, \u201cDrawing Dante. <\/span>La Divina Commedia vista dal disegno, tra fumetto e illustrazione<\/span>\u201d <\/span>(<\/span>Drawing Dante.<\/span><\/span>The Divine Comedy in drawings, between comic book and illustration\u201d), which will be inaugurated on September 7 at 6 p.m. at the Italian Institute of Culture in Marseilles. The initiative is one of the events to celebrate the 700th annivers<\/span>ary of Dante\u2019s death. \u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDrawing Dante\u201d, which also provides a tour through the most celebrated adaptations of the poem in comic book form is a project developed by illustrators who have succeeded in establishing an iconographic dialogue that has drawn its inspiration for centuries from the great work that occupies such an important place in Italian culture.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition got underway on June 23 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris and, after its stop in Marseille, will continue on to the Italian Institutes of Culture in Hamburg and Strasbourg. T<\/span>here will also be two parallel exhibitions in Taiwan, in October 2021 and January 2022, in collaboration with the Italian Office of Economic, Commercial and Cultural Promotion of Taipei and the Taipei International Book Exhibition.\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition, which will remain open until October 21, 2021, is a Comicon production, organized by the Italian Institute of Culture in Marseille i<\/span>n collaboration with the Italian Institutes of Culture in Paris, Strasbourg and Hamburg.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The authors of the works on exhibition\u00a0are Manuele Fior, Fabiana Fiengo, Giulio Rincione, Spugna, Gabriella Giandelli, Eliana Albertini, Giacomo Gambineri, Silvia Rocchi, Lorenzo \u201cLRNZ\u201d Ceccotti, Elisa Macellari, Tommy Gun <\/span>and<\/span> Vincenzo Filosa.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
