On the occasion of the cultural initiatives organized with the Estonian authorities to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the re-established diplomatic relations between Italy and Estonia (on August 27, 1991), The Italian Embassy in Tallinn decided to pay tribute to Maestro Ennio Morricone (1928-2020). \u00a0<\/p>\n
Morricone is one of the most famous composers of movie scores; his soundtracks have gone down in history and have touched countless hearts all over the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Four movies that are acknowledged masterpieces in cinema history were enhanced by his musical scores, which became universal successes, and were chosen for this occasion: \u2018Malena\u2019 directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, \u2018Days of Heaven\u2019 by Terrence Malick, \u2018Once Upon a Time in America America\u2019 by Sergio Leone and Brian De Palma\u2019s \u2018The Untouchables.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0The movies will be shown from September 1 to 4, 2021, in the original language with Estonian subtitles, simultaneously at the \u201cKino Soprus\u201d threater in Tallinn and the \u201cElektriteater\u201d in Tart. \u00a0<\/p>\n
