It will be held from 4 September to 21 November 2021, on the Museum\u2019s premises, and is entitled \u201cItalian Autumn. Liselotte Watkins\u2019s Italy\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The artist draws inspiration for her paintings from day-to-day life in Rome, where she came to live with her family a few years ago. Ms Watkins has spent a lot of time illustrating and painting women. During the lockdown due to the pandemic, she observed how women passed their time inside and near their homes. She, therefore, created images that interpret their moods and emotional states: what are these women dreaming about, what are they doing, what are they thinking?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Liselotte Watkins\u2019s art deals with fictitious reality \u2013 mainly in domestic settings, Life; the Italian countryside, Nature; and the beach, the Sea.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Born in Nyk\u00f6ping in 1971, Liselotte Watkins Falk moved to Texas in her lyceum years and began studying at the Dallas Art Institute, focussing on advertising and illustration. After a period in Stockholm, she moved to New York at the end of the 1990s, where her career took off. Her fashion illustrations drew much attention, and Liselotte Watkins\u2019s clients include Miu Miu, Prada, Vogue, and Elle. After spending time in Milan and Paris, she moved to Rome.
