A debate on Italy after COVID-19 pandemic. This is the theme of the webinar organised for 21 September by the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney entitled ‘After the pandemic: Italy’s place in the world’.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ric. Gabriele Abbondanza will speak, interviewed by the Australian researcher in Italian studies,\u00a0Talia Walker. Gabriele Abbondanza will explain how the pandemic has shaken the world in an unprecedented way in recent history. Italy was one of the first Western countries to be affected. However, the situation is increasingly under control thanks to vaccines and specific policies. Now that a post-pandemic world is beginning to emerge, it is therefore time to look to the future and rethink the country’s place in it.<\/p>\n

The qualities for which Italy is most renowned – history, culture, tourist attractions – will also be discussed, and the lesser-known ones, such as its economic, scientific, political, and strategic influence on a global level.\u00a0Ambassador\u00a0Ferdinando Nelli Feroci,\u00a0President of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), will also take part in the discussion and briefly\u00a0review\u00a0the challenges Italy will face in the coming years.<\/p>\n
