The premi\u00e8re of the Boh\u00e8me directed by Italo Nunziata was staged at the National Opera Theatre in Kiev last night at the attendance of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadim Prystaiko. The production is the fruit of a cooperative effort between the Theatre, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kiev.<\/p>\n
Boh\u00e8me is one of the most beautiful and most performed operas worldwide and is now staged in Kiev in an original modern interpretation key thanks to the direction of Italo Nunziata, the author of popular productions performed in the most important theatres in Italy. The entire season envisages 9 repeat performances with a top-class cast featuring\u00a0baritone Andrei Bondarenko (Marcello<\/i>) and tenor Valentyn Dytiuk (Rodolfo<\/i>).\u00a0<\/p>\n
In his opening remarks, the Italian Ambassador in Kiev, Davide La Cecilia, emphasised the consolidated cooperation between the Italian Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and the Country\u2019s musical institutions, which have made it possible to stage important productions of Nabucco, Tosca, Julius Caesar and, this year, Boh\u00e8me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The premi\u00e8re, which will be repeated on Saturday, closes the cycle of musical events organised by the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Ukraine, after the success recorded by the Italian Baroque Festival in October, which programmed 8 concerts in Kiev (2 and 13 October), Odessa (6 October), Mariupol (8 October), Chernivtsi (11 October) and Leopolis (15 October).<\/p>\n
