\u2018Focus on Italy\u2019 is the event that has put Italy in the limelight at the 38th edition of the Vancouver International Film Festival, the largest and most important film festival in Canada after the one in Toronto.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Every year, the Vancouver Festival, a.k.a. the \u201cHollywood of the North\u201d, screens more than 300 films from 80 different Countries which last year attracted approximately 130,000 spectators. This year, the Focus on Italy event, organised in partnership with the Italian Consulate General as part of the activities aimed at promoting and disseminating Italy\u2019s cinematographic culture in Canada, screened \u201cSantiago\u201d by Nanni Moretti, \u201cDafne\u201d by Federico Bondi, \u201cThe Disappearance of my Mother\u201d by Beniamino Barrese and \u201cSole\u201d by Carlo Sironi.
