The tenor was Blagoj Nacoski, Macedonian-born but resident in Italy for over 210 years and now the symbol of the close Italian and Macedonian relations.<br \/>He was accompanied by the young but well-established pianist Dino Imeri and the very young soprano Helena Anat Susha, a promising talent of the Macedonian school of opera music. Blagoj Nacoski guided the audience through Leoncavallo\u2019s art, performing some of the composer\u2019s most representative arias, interspersed with exclusively instrumental pieces and &#8220;counterpoints&#8221; of songs and arias from operas by other authors who were contemporaries of the Neapolitan maestro, thus configuring a historical backdrop capable of contextualising Leoncavallo\u2019s music and first successes. <br \/>Nacoski himself offered the audience some hints through which to interpret the art and biography of Ruggero Leoncavallo.
