The two academics, Ida Caracciolo, full professor at the Federico II University of Naples, legal expert of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Italian candidate to become judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea of Hamburg, and Tullio Scovazzi, full professor at the Milano-Bicocca University, to kick off their lecturing tour, held a double lectio magistralis at the Higher School of the Navy and at the School of Law of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, the Country\u2019s leading public university and the oldest in America. They then delivered a lecture on the \u201cNew Trends in International Law\u201d at the Peruvian Constitutional Court. They also held a two-day workshop on the Law of the Sea at the Diplomatic Academy of Peru and a seminar at the<i> Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Per\u00fa<\/i>\u00a0organised to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their School of Law.
