Thanks to the cooperation of the Mayor, the city&#8217;s\u00a0 landmarks such as the historic Matarazzo Palace, which is the city hall, the Viaduto Do Ch\u00e1, the Ponte Estaiada, the Monumento \u00e0s Banderas, and the Edificio Italia, home to the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo (FIESP), and the Italian Culture Institute have turned green, white and red, to pay tribute to the many Italians who gave a fundamental\u00a0 contribution to the city&#8217;s industrial, cultural and\u00a0 architectural development. The hashtag #SaoPaulocelebraItalia has gone viral thanks to a programme of inclusive and participatory initiatives in a city which is home to millions of citizens of Italian descent.<\/p>\n<p>ENIT, the Italian Government Tourism Board, has organised a race which which counted with over 4000 participants; a gala evening was organised in one of Niemeyer&#8217;s installations the Ibirapuera Park OCA Pavillion.
