It was organised by the Italian Embassy in association with Italy&#8217;s Tourist Board (Enit) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spain (CCIS).<\/p>\n<p>A prestigious jury, including Italian Ambassador Stefano Sannino, chef Ram\u00f2 Freixana, the director of &#8220;Canal Cocina&#8221;, Mandi Ciriza, a journalist with &#8220;La luna de Metropoli\u201d magazine, Alberto Luchini and chef\u00a0Fabio Giacopelli, head of the Kitchen Techniques Course at ALMA\u00a0(International School of Italian cuisine), will assess the candidates.\u00a0They will judge on the basis of general knowledge of cooking, experience and potential to learn and develop Italian cuisine professionally. The six competitors all have wide experience in the catering industry in Spain. The two winners will gain entrance to the Culinary Programme &#8211; Unit 2 course that will start on 29 April next and run for 14 weeks at the renowned ALMA school in Colorno (Parma). They will also receive\u00a0 traineeships in leading Italian restaurants. Ambassador Sannino said: \u201cWe are very pleased with this second edition of the competition, where Italian public institutions cooperate with prestigious Spanish representatives from the culinary world, for which we are very grateful.\u00a0\u00a0We are especially happy that the project was organised with the cooperation of great Italian enterprises such as Pasta Garofalo and Reale Seguros.
