The\u00a0“Sao Francisco na Arte de Maestros Italianos” exhibit\u00a0\u200bopened on August 8 at the Casa FIAT de Culture di Belo Horizonte.It is an initiative of great importance that retraces the iconography of Saint Francis with artwork by Tiziano, Perugino, Orazio Gentileschi, Guido Reni, Guercino, Carracci and Cigoli.\u00a0The exhibit also includes a virtual visit of the Upper Basilica of Assisi: with the use of 3D glasses, you can take a visual tour of one of the most important and beautiful basilicas of Italy and learn about Giotto’s masterpieces.\u00a0Italian Ambassador Antonio Bernardini pointed out how “the\u00a0S\u00e3o Francisco na Arte de\u00a0<\/i>Maestros<\/i>\u00a0Italianos<\/i>\u00a0exhibit\u00a0is a new initiative of great importance, certainly one of the most important of the past few years in terms of reach and cultural value. We are truly glad and proud to be able to offer\u00a0to the Brazilian public,\u00a0for the first time,\u00a0such a rich and important part of Italian art and\u00a0history, and to be able to share that with so many connoisseurs of Italian cultural heritage in Brazil”.\u00a0<\/p>\n
