The Sala Teatro Casa d\u2019Italia\u00a0 of the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul will host a concert of the pianist Nicola Losito, who has performed extensively in Italy as well as in\u00a0Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and the United States.<\/p>\n
As a soloist, Losito has played with Solisti Aquilani, the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Serbian National Theatre Symphonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, the Klagenfurt Landeskonservatorium Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria, and the Ignacy Jan Paderewski State Philarmonic Orchestra.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He has won numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the 28th Muzio Clementi Piano Competition, which took place in Florence, the\u00a06th Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial Competition, which was held in\u00a0Novi Sad (Serbia), and the Jeunesses International Piano Competition \u201cDinu Lipatti\u201d, which occurred in Bucharest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Losito has also received acknowledgements at the\u00a0Premio pianistico Internazionale \u201cSilvio Bengalli\u201d held in Pianello Val Tidone and the Osimo International Piano Competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He is currently specialising at the\u00a0Accademia Pianistica Internazionale \u201cIncontri col Maestro\u201d in Imola\u00a0 with Leonid Margarius and at the Conservatorio \u201cG. Tartini\u201d in Trieste with Massimo Gon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Losito has also recorded for Amadeus and the Movimento Classical labels.
