It is a criminal act and an attempt to strike at the heart of Iraqi democratic institutions, a few days after political elections whose management has been positively assessed by the international observers.<\/p>\n<p>Italy expresses its deep solidarity with Prime Minister Kathimi, the Government and the Iraqi people and hopes that the attack will be promptly investigated and those responsible identified.<\/p>\n<p>Italy reiterates its support to the stabilization of Iraq, as an essential condition for economic growth and implementation of the reforms that are needed to ensure the country a future of peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Italy firmly condemns the attack against the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al Kathimi which took place in the early hours of 7 November.
