The third edition of the Italian Wine Fair was held in Brazil on November 10 in the elegant setting of the Nervi Room at the Italian Embassy in Brasilia. It was a specialized event intended for a select public, curated by the International Food&Wine critic, Sueli Maestri.<\/p>\n
The twelve main importers and distributors presented over 150 labels from 12 Italian regions. Invited for the first time, experimentally, were three Brazilian winemakers of Italian origin (Casa Perini, La Grande Bellezza and Vinicola Cristofoli), with autochthonous wines based on the family\u2019s experience and handed down by generations of Italians established in Brazil since 1870.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrazilian cuisine adapts perfectly to the extraordinary sensations produced by Italian wines, and the Italo-Brazilian wines, all different, all excellent can do the same for Italian cuisine,” the Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Francesco Azzarello, told his audience. \u201cItalian and Italo-Brazilian wines are complementary, while at the same time enriching both countries, and potentially increasing flows in the two directions \u2013 continued the Ambassador \u2013 all in an effort of promotion of the growing wine culture in Brazil. We hope very soon to see it receive the valorization it deserves abroad as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
