The States-General of Italian Language and Creativity in\u00a0the World will\u00a0open\u00a0on Monday,\u00a029 November,\u00a0at the Foreign Ministry, with the participation of representatives from the institutions\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0private\u00a0sector, leading figures in creativity, entrepreneurship and the promotion of the Italian language.<\/p>\n

Opening\u00a0speeches will be delivered by the<\/span>\u00a0President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella,\u00a0the\u00a0Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry\u00a0Ambassador\u00a0Sequi, and\u00a0the\u00a0Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio, while the other keynote speakers are the\u00a0Minister of Culture Dario\u00a0Franceschini,\u00a0the\u00a0Minister of Universities\u00a0and Research Maria Cristina\u00a0Messa, and Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education Barbara\u00a0Floridia.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation every two years, the States-General\u00a0are\u00a0a key\u00a0institutional event dedicated to the dissemination of our language and the definition of strategies for its enhancement at international level. The initiative was\u00a0inspired by\u00a0the awareness that the Italian language\u00a0\u2013\u00a0currently studied by approximately two million people worldwide\u00a0\u2013\u00a0is a fundamental tool for the dissemination abroad of knowledge\u00a0about\u00a0our country\u00a0and\u00a0its culture, products and values.<\/p>\n

This year the States-General will be\u00a0about \u201cThe Italian of Tomorrow\u201d, with a focus on the relationship between creativity and innovation. In view of the appointment of 29 November, four working groups (dedicated to training, dissemination, creativity and innovation) have defined a vision\u00a0paper\u00a0on the role of the Italian language as an ambassador of creativity and\u00a0of the \u201cMade in Italy\u201d brand\u00a0worldwide, which will be presented during the event.<\/p>\n
