\u201cGourmet dinners\u201d with Italian chefs, in Pristina and Peja, on the occasion of the Italian Cuisine around the World Week. In Kosovo\u2019s major cities, the review covers an abundant calendar of events from today, 22 November, through to 28 November, organised by the Embassy in Pristina, in collaboration with ICE Agency, the Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana, and the \u201cPedakos – Preschool Education Development Alliance for Kosovo\u201d project, run by the \u201cRTM Volunteers around the World\u201d NGO, financed by the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS).<\/p>\n
\u201cBy means of this diversified programme,\u201d said the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Antonello De Riu, \u201cwe hope to provide an all-round view of our cuisine, which is synonymous with culture, tradition, and quality, as well as experimentation, wellness, and sustainability. Today, Kosovo is the Country with the largest number of youth in Europe and, due to its wide international openness and propensity for innovation that mark it in all fields, it is the ideal place for valorising the Mediterranean diet as the healthy, sustainable food and lifestyle model\u201d.<\/p>\n
Four chefs from the Italian Chefs Federation are involved, headed by Alessandro Circiello, and, on arriving in Kosovo, they will organise some \u201cGourmet dinners\u201d in Pristina (Extrafish Restaurant) and Peja (Hotel Dukagjini) and, in accordance with anti-Covid measures, they will provide \u201cshow cooking\u201d in a well-known shopping centre in Prizren (Abi Carshia). In addition, the chefs are to take part in a popular television programme, broadcast by the local Klan Kosova channel.<\/p>\n
At the “Nena Kabrini” pre-school in Prizren, the \u201cRtm Volunteers Around the World\u201d NGO and “Pause Atelier dei sapori” by the Fondazione Reggio Children, will run a workshop entitled “Educating on flavour based on Reggio Emilia\u2019s educational philosophy”. This will be in the form of a workshop for the children, aimed at multi-sensory exploration of vegetables, with the help of educator Paola Cavazzoni, and chef Alessandro Tagliavini.<\/p>\n
Finally, for the entire week, more than 30 restaurants throughout Kosovo will offer the public special Italian menus, drawn up specifically for this review.<\/p>\n
