On a day of intense clashes in Tripoli and other areas of the country, Mogherini remained in contact with Italian ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, who kept her constantly updated on developments.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>\u201cLibya is at a crossroads in the transition process: on the one had there is democracy, which could take root as a result of the upcoming parliamentary elections and the drafting of a new constitution, and a stable future thanks to the country\u2019s immense natural resources; on the other, widespread and prolonged conflict is fuelling suffering, migration and violations of human rights\u201d, Mogherini asserted.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>\u201cEvery transition is necessarily lengthy and faces critical hurdles.
