Until 1999, in fact, he worked as a masseur for the Italian national athletics team, working with several famous athletes, such as Pietro Mennea, Gelindo Bordin, Sara Simeoni and Valentina Vezzali.<\/p>\n<p>He then decided to devote himself completely to art, at first with sculpture and then painting. As a sculptor, he mainly created large-sized works using all kinds of materials, but preferably wood, especially olive wood.<\/p>\n<p>A crucial turning point for the artist, who hails from the Marche region, occurred after his meeting with the painter Jos\u00e8 Guevara, the world&#8217;s leading exponent of material informalism \u2013 of which he is now considered the only heir \u2013 which left a mark on his artistic career, bringing him closer to painting with fire.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, open from 18 December to 13 January, consists of a series of paintings made using the pigment-burning technique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels is hosting an exhibition of works by renowned Italian artist\u00a0Nazareno Rocchetti.
