With Italy and the Italian publishing industry ranking as this year&#8217;s key theme, the focus of this year&#8217;s six-day festival, entitled <em>C\u2019era una volta\u2026il giallo <\/em>(Once Upon a Time\u2026 in Crime Novels), is Mediterranean crime writing and novels.<\/p>\n<p>The event&#8217;s roundtables will be attended by some of Italy&#8217;s foremost crime novelists, including Marcello Fois, Antonella Lattanzi and Massimo Carlotto and such Spanish counterparts as Arantza Portabales, Mar\u00eda Oru\u00f1a, Carlos Zan\u00f3n, Lorena Franco and Santiago D\u00edaz.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival, whose social media initiatives will include meetings and prize awards, will also feature the screening of several films by Italian directors Francesco Rosi \u2013 marking his birthday centenary \u2013 and Elio Petri.
