The Italian Cultural Institute in Paris hosts \u201cThe Recovery Plan. Devoir de m\u00e9moire \u00e0 l\u2019italienne\u201d, an itinerant cultural centre for the work of artists of African origin in the Italian context. The temporary centre curated by BHMF (Black\u00a0History Month Florence), in collaboration with BHMFBo\u00a0(Black History Month Bologna) and the magazine \u201cAfrica e Mediterraneo\u201d, houses three exhibitions.<\/p>\n
\u201cGettare il Sasso e Nascondere la Mano\u201d is the title of a collective exhibition dedicated to five artists of the first edition of the YGBI (Young Gifted and Black Italians) Research Residency: Binta Diaw, Victor Fotso Nyie, Francis Offman, Raziel Perin, and Emmanuel Yoro. The exhibition \u2013 which will be inaugurated on Thursday, 13\u00a0January, and will be open to the public from 14\u00a0January to 16\u00a0February 2022 \u2013 embraces a series of narratives that link spirituality to education, colonial history, its materiality, and historical activism.<\/p>\n
\u201cBlack Archive Alliance Vol. III\u201d was born from a collaboration between five Afro-descendant researchers who worked in tandem with the artists of the first edition of YGBI Research Residency. Working in pairs, through an experimental approach based on dialogue and exchange, they have explored tangible and intangible archives rooted in Italy.<\/p>\n
