Indeed, Italy is Romania\u2019s second commercial partner and about 37,000 Italian companies operate in the country. Minister Bonino thanked her colleague for his country\u2019s decision to take part in EXPO 2015 and underscored the important contribution made by the Romanian community to Italy\u2019s social and economic fabric. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>Turning to international issues, the two ministers focused on Ukraine and the need for a peaceful transition process after the government\u2019s resignation. As for Italy\u2019s EU Presidency later this year, Minister Bonino told her colleague that the Mediterranean Basin would be a priority focus for action.
