In the latter part of today the Minister was on the phone to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, welcoming mutual exchanges between the two countries \u2013 as testified by both governments&#8217; shared pursuit of dialogue with Moscow, albeit pursuant to Euro-Atlantic values and principles.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of last week&#8217;s NATO-Russia Council meetings, Mr Di Maio emphasised Italy&#8217;s belief in the need to further efforts towards establishing a political dialogue with Moscow, to which effect he underscored the need to establish coordination among NATO members with a view to reaching a unified, balanced and proportionate response, discouraging further tensions between Russia and the Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Di Maio went on to express hopes that continuing coordination on the Russia-Ukraine agenda should also extend to the United States and the European Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio pursues talks on Russia-Ukraine agenda.
