The Italian Embassy in Beijing and the Italian Cultural Institute commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day with two initiatives: the screening of the film \u201cL\u2019uomo che visse tre volte\u201d by film director Irish Braschi and a video concert.<\/p>\n
The film screening was introduced by the Embassy\u2019s Deputy Chief of Mission, Minister Counsellor Emanuele di Lorenzo Badia, at the attendance of representatives of the Israeli Embassy to the People\u2019s Republic of China. The video concert, also dedicated to \u201cRemembrance Day\u201d, took place in Beijing and, through its music, promoted the Klemzer and Yiddish traditions.<\/p>\n
Minister Counsellor di Lorenzo Badia recalled that \u201cthe Righteous \u2013 people of laudable value who challenged the Nazi-Fascist barbarities \u2013 included eminent members of Italian diplomacy such as the Consuls in Thessaloniki Guelfo Zamboni and Giuseppe Castruccio, and the Consul in Skopje, Roberto Venturini.
