The Embassy of Italy in Nur-Sultan has launched a new integrated promotional programme entitled \u201cMani esperte\u201d (\u201cExpert Hands\u201d). With its innovative format, the programme aims to recount the union between Italy\u2019s creative spirit and the quality of its workmanship. About ten events are planned for 2022, as part of the broader programme of initiatives to mark 30 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted to be launching this new integrated promotional programme that will continue throughout 2022. We want to promote our country in an innovative way, by telling the stories of our creative \u2018expert hands\u2019\u201d, said Ambassador Marco Alberti. \u201cBehind the artistic-cultural and economic-industrial excellence of our country\u201d, he added, \u201cthere are always expert hands at work. Whether these be the hands of farmers or multi-starred chefs, designers or artisans, violinists or engine or shoe makers, Italians\u2019 expert hands have the ability to transform the talent of our people into products or experiences that are world-beating in their originality and quality\u201d.<\/p>\n
The first event, \u201cDal legno alla melodia: due maestri all\u2019opera\u201d (\u201cFrom wood to melody: two maestri at work\u201d), organised by the Italian Embassy along with Kazakhstan\u2019s National University of the Arts and the Museo del Violino in Cremona, took place on 17 February 2022. The event featured a performance by the renowned Italian violinist, Domenico Nordio. Before the performance Alessandro Voltini, a master luthier from Cremona, in Lombardy, told the wonderful story of the city\u2019s stringed instruments craft.
