The Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo organized a seminar on \u201cArchitects’ travel. Routes, connections and resonances between Italy and Norway in the 20th – 21st centuries\u201d. Architect Antonello Alici (Universit\u00e0 Politecnica delle Marche) will be the protagonist of the event.<\/p>\n
The travels of artists and architects, as a direct experience of a place, have proved to be a long-lasting vehicle of culture through the resonances recorded in diaries, sketches, watercolours, photographs, and reported in conferences and publications. Their travels thus become a lens to read the relations and connections between North and South, so as to follow the changing sensibility in the search for identity and modern expressions.<\/p>\n
The seminar aims at recalling a dense history of travels in both directions, focusing on Italy and Norway through a selection of key figures as well as cities and works as a red line connecting the two architectural cultures.
