The event (&#8220;<em>Federico Fellini 100<\/em>&#8220;), organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco for the centenary of the artist&#8217;s birth, will run until May 14 at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA).<\/p>\n<p>The Italian director was a masterful artist of memory, dream, imagination and desire. He was a central figure in the international art film movement that took off in the mid-1950s. One hundred years after his birth, Fellini&#8217;s films still fascinate with their baroque flare, emotional resonance and great visual design.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve films are scheduled in the screenings, including &#8220;<em>La Strada<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;<em>La Dolce Vita<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;<em>Amarcord<\/em>&#8220;, &#8220;The White Sheik&#8221;, &#8220;8 \u00bd\u201d, &#8220;Nights of Cabiria&#8221;, &#8220;Juliet of the Spirits&#8221;, &#8220;Fellini\u2019s Casanova&#8221;, &#8220;Ginger and Fred&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Today, March 4, a film festival of Federico Fellini\u2019s main works has started in Berkeley, California.
