{"id":74695,"date":"2022-03-17T16:12:04","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T15:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2022\/03\/ad-addis-abeba-in-mostra-giovani-fotografi-italiani\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T17:53:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T16:53:17","slug":"ad-addis-abeba-in-mostra-giovani-fotografi-italiani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2022\/03\/ad-addis-abeba-in-mostra-giovani-fotografi-italiani\/","title":{"rendered":"Exhibition of young Italian photographers in Addis Ababa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The photography exhibition &#8220;Eyes on Tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giovane Fotografia Italiana nel Mondo\u201d arrived in Ethiopia through the Italian Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the only stop in Sub-Saharan Africa for the exhibition which features the works of 9 artists with 9 open-air installations in the Zoma Museum gardens in Addis Ababa. \u201cGiovane Fotografia Italiana\u201d (young Italian photography) is an original project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and devoted to the international promotion of the most interesting research on the Italian artistic scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The themes explored by this exhibition include Identity, Dreams and Daily Life. The theme of identity is explored in the works of Domenico Camarda (\u201cLiquido\u201d), Francesco Levy (\u201cAzimuth of Celestial Body\u201d) and Alba Zari (\u201cThe Y\u201d); dreams are investigated by Alisa Martynova (\u201cNowhere Near\u201d), Francesco Merlini (\u201cSurimi\u201d) and Iacopo Pasqui (\u201cRacconto d\u2019estate\u201d), while the photographs of Nicola Baldazzi (\u201cNel Pozzo\u201d), Francesca Cirilli (\u201cFeeding Geographies\u201d) and Anna Positano (\u201cA Steady Diet of Nothing\u201d) reflect the theme of daily life. Anna Positano and Alba Zara accompanied the exhibition to Addis Ababa and held a seminar at the Zoma Museum on \u201cIdentit\u00e0 e Quotidianit\u00e0 \u2013 La fotografia come indagine personale e come ricerca della realt\u00e0 (Identity and Daily Life &#8211; photography as personal exploration and the search for reality). The Italian Ambassador, Agostino Palese and the director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Semen Kumurzhi opened the exhibition.
