A new soundtrack has been composed by maestro Nicola Piovani to celebrate the Year of Italian Culture in the USA. Entitled \u201cAllegretto Made in Italy\u201d, the score, for symphony orchestra, was performed by the Italian Film Orchestra. It was produced with the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Embassy and Italian Cultural Institute in Washington, the Directorate General for Film at <\/A>the Ministry for Culture and Tourism, and ENIT, Italy\u2019s tourism board. The video was also sponsored by Sorgente Group, a real estate and investment group operating in various European countries and in the USA.<\/P> Music is a vital part of the Italian national identity, says Ambassador Bisogniero<\/STRONG><\/STRONG><\/STRONG><\/P> \u201cMusic is a vital part of the Italian national identity\u201d, as the Italian Ambassador to the United States, Claudio Bisogniero, pointed out. The initiative has proved to be a great success, with more than 200 events in over 50 American cities\u201d. <\/P> \u201cE pluribus unum\u201d<\/STRONG><\/STRONG><\/STRONG><\/P> The soundtrack will be publicised through a video produced by Marco Patrignani and Roberto Volpe and directed by Christian Letruria. As Letruria commented, \u201cOur aim was to link the \u2018choral\u2019 concept of the orchestra with the variety of landscapes in the Italian peninsula. Moreover, \u2018E pluribus unum\u2019 is one of the mottoes inspiring the United States.
