Deadline for participation extended to May 25, 2022<\/em><\/p>\n

In the European Year\u00a0of Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation\u00a0gives voice\u00a0to\u00a0<\/em>Italian school students in the world,\u00a0<\/strong>the cornerstone of the Italian Educational System worldwide. They will be the\u00a0key players at the 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0Italian Language Week in the World,\u00a0<\/strong>envisaged to be focused on the theme\u00a0\u201cItalian and Youths\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>and to take place\u00a0in October 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through the\u00a0call for proposals titled \u201cInventa il titolo della SLIM 2022\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cInvent the Title of SLIM 2022\u201d), the Ministry calls on students to express themselves and\u00a0take the challenge<\/strong>, first-handed and with\u00a0creativity<\/strong>, to submit\u00a0proposals<\/strong>, one of which will be chosen to be the actual\u00a0title of the event<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, the event intends to\u00a0promote youths\u2019 languages\u00a0<\/strong>and explore the ways in which\u00a0contemporary Italian and communication are evolving through the new generations,\u00a0<\/strong>the agents of change of an ever-more creative, vital, and innovative language.<\/p>\n

The Call targets students in\u00a0Italian second-level secondary schools, public and private<\/strong>, who are called upon to\u00a0propose a title by elaborating<\/strong>\u00a0on the theme of \u201cItalian and Youths\u201d.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0deadline<\/strong>\u00a0for submitting proposals (to:\u00a0concorso.slim@esteri.it<\/a>) is extended to May 25, 2022<\/strong>. Each proposal can be submitted by one or more classes under the guidance of a\u00a0coordinating teacher.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winners will be\u00a0awarded a prize<\/strong>\u00a0at one of the events organized for the 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0Italian Language Week in the World, which will consists of\u00a0books<\/strong>\u00a0made available by the Dante Alighieri Society and Treccani, in addition to being given the opportunity to take part in a\u00a0program<\/strong>\u00a0of Rai Italia. They will also be given the chance to produce a short\u00a0video<\/strong>\u00a0on the theme of the Week, which could be used to promote the event.<\/p>\n

The Call is launched by the\u00a0Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy<\/strong>\u00a0of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in conjunction with the principal\u00a0partners of the<\/strong>\u00a0Italian Language Week in the World,\u00a0<\/strong>namely the\u00a0Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, the\u00a0Ministry of Education, University and Research<\/strong>, the\u00a0Accademia della Crusca<\/strong>, the\u00a0Centro per il Libro e la Lettura<\/strong>\u00a0(CePeLL), the\u00a0Consiglio Generale degli Italiani all\u2019Estero<\/strong>\u00a0(CGIE), the\u00a0Enciclopedia Italiana – La Treccani<\/strong>, the\u00a0Societ\u00e0 Dante Alighieri<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Rai Italia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
