The exhibition is hosted in the extremely beautiful gardens of Addis Ababa\u2019s Zoma Museum since last 12 March and will run until the 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of May 2022 and was opened by the director of the IIC, Semen Kumurzhi, and by Italian Ambassador, Agostino Palese.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cGiovane Fotografia Italiana nel Mondo&#8221;<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0(\u201cYoung Italian Photography in the World\u201d) project is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and is aimed at the international promotion of the most interesting research efforts currently underway on the Italian art scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The exhibition explores three topics: Identity, Dreams, and Everyday Life. The first topic is addressed by the work of Domenico Camarda\u00a0(\u201cLiquido\u201d),\u00a0Francesco Levy\u00a0(\u201cAzimuth of Celestial Body\u201d) and\u00a0Alba Zari\u00a0(\u201cThe Y\u201d); the second topic is explored by Alisa Martynova\u00a0(\u201cNowhere Near\u201d),\u00a0Francesco Merlini\u00a0(\u201cSurimi\u201d) and \u00a0Iacopo Pasqui\u00a0(\u201cRacconto d\u2019estate\u201d), while the shots by Nicola Baldazzi\u00a0(\u201cNel Pozzo\u201d),\u00a0Francesca Cirilli\u00a0(\u201cFeeding Geographies\u201d) and\u00a0Anna Positano\u00a0(\u201cA Steady Diet of Nothing\u201d) are a reflection on the third topic.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Addis Ababa organized the Ethiopian stop of the &#8220;Eyes on Tomorrow&#8221; photographic show, the only edition to be held in sub-Saharan Africa and the largest hosted abroad, with nine artists and nine open-air installations.
