Central to their discussions was satisfaction for the excellent trend in bilateral relations, not least in the wake of the recent visits by government delegations to Kampala for October\u2019s 50th anniversary of Uganda\u2019s independence, and a Ugandan delegation led by Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi to Rome in December.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Minister Terzi defined Uganda as \u201can essential partner for Italy in Sub-Saharan Africa\u201d, and underscored Italian businesses\u2019 lively interest in the economic opportunities offered by that African nation, particularly in the energy field.
