An Introduction to Mysteries\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0which is scheduled to run\u00a0<\/span><strong>from 15 July to 11 December 2022<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0at the Triennale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Triennale di Milano International Exhibition, which will be celebrating the 100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary from its foundation in 2023, is one of the world\u2019s most important international events dedicated to design and architecture and is promoted by the Triennale in association with the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event opened with remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0<strong>Luigi Di Maio<\/strong>,\u00a0followed by contributions from<strong>\u00a0Dimitri Kerkentzes<\/strong>,\u00a0Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions,\u00a0<strong>Stefano Boeri<\/strong>, President of the Triennale di Milano,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Carla Morogallo,<\/strong>\u00a0Director General of the Triennale di Milano, and\u00a0<strong>Ersilia Vaudo<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Francis K\u00e9r\u00e9<\/strong>, curators of the 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0International Exhibition. The event was moderated by\u00a0<strong>Cecilia Piccioni<\/strong>, Principal Director of the General Directorate for Integrated Promotion and Innovation and was attended by important personalities from the international cultural and academic world represented by Embassies and other key players from the private sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Minister Di Maio\u00a0<\/strong>said: \u201cDesign \u2013 one of the major drivers of Italian industrial production \u2013 pools together economic, cultural, and technology sectors and represents one of the pillars of the integrated promotion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and its overseas network. The Farnesina and the Triennale work hand in hand, as they did for the celebration of Italian Design Day in the world, with the aim of highlighting and promoting knowledge of the strategic sector of Made-in-Italy products beyond our national borders to foster the spread of our regional artisanal and manufacturing traditions and industrial districts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Dimitri S. Kerkentzes<\/strong>, Secretary General of the\u00a0Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), stated: \u201cThe theme of the 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0Triennale di Milano International Exhibition is a call to challenge our convictions, embrace the vastity and uncertainty of the unknown and plot a new direction for humankind. By putting together different perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds with a view to having everybody meet the same challenge, this International Exhibition will reveal unexpected solutions and will stimulate experimentation and innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Stefano Boeri<\/strong>, President of Triennale Milano, affirmed: \u201cThe 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0International Exhibition aims to become a dialogue and research platform, an opportunity to exchange and meet for artists, designers, architects, curators, schools, and student councils but also for cultural institutions, museums, and research institutes from all over the world. This plurality of viewpoints will enable us to stretch our look towards what we are still unaware of not knowing. At a dramatic and complex time as the one we are living, we believe that it is more important than ever to defend and promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and reflections between different Countries and cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0International Exhibition will present a constellation of exhibits, installations, and special projects on the theme of the Unknown, in an itinerary across fields of knowledge and disciplines that will offer visitors the thrill of discovery and the pleasure of changing perspective.
