On\u00a0Wednesday 8 June 2022, at 11:00 am<\/b>, at the Sassoli Room of the Farnesina, the event \u201cOlympic and Paralympic Winter Games \u2013 Milano Cortina 2026. Sport diplomacy in the face of global challenges<\/b>\u201d will be held.<\/p>\n

The event will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Luigi Di Maio<\/b>\u00a0and the Farnesina Secretary-General,\u00a0Ettore Francesco Sequi<\/b>. It shall present the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina and will be attended by institutional representatives, diplomatic delegations accredited in Italy, private sector stakeholders and leading Italian sports personalities.<\/div>\n

Speakers will include, among others, the Minister of Tourism,\u00a0Massimo Garavaglia<\/b>, the Minister for Youth Policies,\u00a0Fabiana Dadone<\/b>, the Minister for Disabilities,\u00a0Erika Stefani<\/b>, the Undersecretary of State for Sport,\u00a0Valentina Vezzali<\/b>, the President of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation and CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) President\u00a0Giovanni Malag\u00f2<\/b>, the Managing Director of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation,\u00a0Vincenzo Novari\u00a0<\/b>and the President of the Italian Paralympic Committee,\u00a0Luca Pancalli<\/b>.<\/div>\n

During the event, the Olympic and Paralympic flags will be handed over at the presence of the President of the Lombardy Region,\u00a0Attilio Fontana<\/b>, the President of the Veneto Region,\u00a0Luca Zaia<\/b>, the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti,<\/b> the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher<\/b>, the Mayor of Milan,\u00a0Beppe Sala<\/b>, the Mayor of Cortina,\u00a0Gianpietro Ghedina\u00a0<\/b>and the \u201cAmbassadors\u201d of the Games,\u00a0Bebe Vio\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0Deborah Compagnoni<\/b>.<\/div>\n
