The Italian Cultural Institute\u2019s \u201cIncroci\u201d project presents ten concerts by young creators exploring new repertoires by crossing them with those of previous generations. Incroci was conceived by Angelo Gio\u00e8 and curated by Maurilio Cacciatore. The concerts, which are presented on the Institute\u2019s Vimeo channel, spotlight young professionals working in cross-art, where music, theatre, dance, and electronica co-exist.<\/p>\n
All of the concerts celebrate Italy. They include a recital by pianist Maurizio Zaccaria, the voice of Ljuba Bergamelli and dancer Simone Magnani\u2019s translation of voice pieces into movment. Also featured is the virtuosity, percussion and sound interactions of the Duo Dubois, and the newly established piano and perscussion ensemble composed of Francesca Carola, Silvia Giliberto, Matteo Savio and Filippo Capretti.<\/p>\n
Then there is Salvatore Catellano, a rising star in the firmament of Italian saxophonists; Dario Calderone, one of the most popular double bass players in Italy and abroad; and the violinist Francesco D\u2019Orazio with Francesco Abbrescia on electronica. And there is more: Laura Faoro, on flute and Roberta Gottardi, on clarinet, focusing on musical theatre; and the Schiele Quartet, an ensemble recently established in the music school of Fiesole.
